Man in court charged with woman’s murder

A man accused of murdering a woman who was found dead at a house in Leeds has appeared in court.

Sam Varley, 44, was discovered at a property in Brown Hill Terrace, Harehills, on 12 February, West Yorkshire Police said.

Appearing at Leeds Crown Court, Warren Spence, 54, was not asked to enter a plea.

Mr Spence, of no fixed abode, was remanded in custody and is next due at the same court on 19 March.
